With the help of some food coloring, we were able to make him a Lightning McQueen cake...
We gave him one present the night before his birthday, when we got back from the Nuremburg zoo. It was Mack from the Disney movie "Cars" and it had 6 of the other cars characters inside.
He was trying hard to be patient...he wanted to dig into the cake and open his presents, not mess around with posing for a picture!!

He had a great time and we made sure to let him know that everybody else was thinking of him even though they were far away. We were talking about family back home and he said "Uncle Todd's my friend. I miss Uncle Todd!" It was pretty cute.
Sorry we didn't have more pictures of him opening the gifts...but I'll upload the video onto myspace when I can.
