We took Collin to the Nuremburg zoo which is the closest city to us outside of Ansbach. I guess it's about halfway from here to the border of the Czech Republic. Here's the entrance...
We saw all the typical animals that are pretty much in every zoo, so I won't bore you with the details, just some pictures. :)
Collin getting a closer look....
He manages to find a train EVERYWHERE we go, lol
He had fun watching the baboons and said "the kid monkeys are being bad and the daddy monkey is saying "Don't hit!" to the kid monkeys"
Collin and Mommy
It was raining off and on, so we used the opportunity for him to play in this inflatable jumping thing to escape a bit of the wet weather. At first we were afraid that the bigger kids would hurt him by accident, but we should have been scared for them instead. He was having a blast and leaping at the big boys, trying to tackle them in mid air, haha. We even had to pull him aside and tell him to play nice. He really loved that thing!
He wanted a green glitter balloon painted on his face...which he promptly smudged. Notice the look of adoration he has for the German lady painting his face.
Collin and Daddy
Some of the animals we saw that Collin liked...
I had never seen an elephant poop...until that day. Oh. My. God. Collin and the other kids were equally amazed. I even have a photo of the giant turd in mid-air by (luck? bad luck?) which I've spared you.
Buffalo rider
Probably one of the most beautiful views in the whole place. ;)
We finished the day with some Spider Man ice cream. Collin, as you can see, was tired and crashed out within moments of getting in the car.
